Visual communication is an emerging field of vocational
studies. Its broad area covers an array of multi disciplinary subjects and
its applications are found in innumerable interrelated professions. Tapping
the aspirations of employment potential the VELS University is offering BSc
in Visual Communication. The objective of the course is to hone creativity
and visual faculties, to make visually conscious to understand the language
of visuals, to become visual communicators and to be successful media
professionals.

B.Sc Visual Communication
Papers Offered: There are thirty papers in the six semester course. There
are fifteen core papers and fifteen subsidiary papers. Subsidiary papers are
common to all the undergraduate students. The core papers are as follows:

Course Highlights: There are three broad features of the course. 1- Papers
like; Aspects and Application of Fine Arts, Multimedia, Computer Graphics,
Layouts and Illustrations, Graphic Design, Web Publishing, Printing and
Publication Design have application in advertising agencies, television
channels, newspapers, magazines, printing and publication industry, film and
television production units and multimedia studios. 2- Papers
lik*e;*Videography, TV Production and Film Studies have application in
media and
entertainment industry. Students could be employed as video editors,
visualizers, cameraman, director, script writer and other professionals in
media industry. 3- Papers like; Advertising, Marketing, Media Sociology,
Communication Theories, Introduction to Visual Communication has application
in the media management industry. Students can find employment in HR,
administration, marketing and advertising department of the media industry.
