Full-fledged Placement activities have been done at Vel’s Group, with a centralized Placement cell exclusively interacting with industry, headed by a full-time Placement Officer with 26 years experience in the industry.
Training programmes on Soft Skills were imparted on a regular basis, thus moulding the students to face the present recruitment processes. For this, every year reputed Training agencies were identified and training imparted throughout the academic year. Overall placement of 90% has been achieved before the results are published during every academic year. Periodical upgradation in sourcing of Corporates is being done to achieve the goal of 100% placement.
Tie-ups with various Industry as well as Institutes are done to start joint courses in the Vels University which will give 100% placement. Value addition training in specific areas are also planned to get the students of other streams to get employed immediately after Graduation / Post Graduation. It is almost certain that the University status will attract many MNCs and Corporates. |
